Why the name Perissos Institute?
In John 10:10, we are told that Jesus comes to give life and to give it abundantly; to where it is overflowing. "Perissos" is greek for abundant and overflowing found in John 10:10b. We chose this word because it describes the call of our ministry. The word institute means to set into motion, to establish, to bring forth.
The call then, for Perissos Institute is to see the abundant and overflowing life of Jesus Christ established and flowing from God's leaders and ministries. This is high-impact leadership when we are living life from the power of the Holy Spirit in us. When we are listening and doing what God is telling us to do (John 12:49-40).
